Fees

Free Session
We give a free 15-20 minute session to customers who can not afford counselling. This allows us to understand their basic situation and to refer them to free services within the community or self-help resources, as appropriate. We give a maximum of three free sessions in a day, and we run a waiting list in the order that applications are submitted. An alternative to referral outside our agency is that customers adjust their budgets (or find sponsors) in order to cover the low fee for our group sessions (see below).

In-Office Counselling and Consulting
A normal in-office session lasts 50 minutes and costs $90.00. We prefer to keep focused on solutions and to equip our customers so they can handle their situation within 3 sessions. If more than three sessions are necessary, we also give customers the option to use coaching mini-sessions of 15 or 30 minutes, or to join a group.

In-Home Counselling and Consulting
For customers who prefer to have sessions in their own home, we charge an extra travel fee, depending on distance from our office. We provide travel fee quotes based on customer's address.

Longer Sessions
Longer than 50 minute sessions are avilable for very complex cases, for family sessions, and for Attachment Disorder counselling. Length of sessions and prices are negotiated from case to case.

Coaching Mini-Sessions
For our customers' convenience and accessibility we also created a system of 15 - 30 minute coaching mini-sessions over the phone or internet. This system considerably reduces customers' therapy or self-development costs (20-40$ per session) and time investments, and eliminates the need for driving. It also encourages them to take increased responsibility for their healing and growth, earlier in the process. Coaching mini-sessions are only available after at least three regular sessions, or after successfully graduating one of our groups. This way, customers have time to build a relationship of trust with the counsellor/consultant, and a clear growth plan to follow while using phone or internet coaching. Mini-sessions do not involve therapy, but rather help the customer keep accountable and on track while following their growth plan and practicing the skills learned during our regular or group sessions.

NOTE: Payment is due at the beginning of each regular or mini-session. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before a scheduled session, otherwise the fee for a missed session must be paid in full. Group fees are due at sing-up stage. Group fees are not refundable, but can be transfered to another person or another type of counselling service. We accept: cash, PayPal, Personal Cheque, and Money Order payments.
