Blenheim House programs offer treatment services to families with children
up to six years, who have significant emotional and behavioural problems.
Consultation is available to community agencies involved in the care
of young children. The four Blenheim House programs are The Parent-lnfant
Project (infants 0 - 2 1/2 years old, Outpatient Program (children
0 - 6 years old) and Day Program (children 2 1/2 - 6 years old) (the
day program has a morning therapeutic group Monday to Thursday for
12 children at a time). A full range of therapy and counselling services
is available for children and their families through these three programs.
Daycares and preschools can request an extended in-centre education
and support contract through the Blenheim House Daycare/Preschool Outreach
Program in their work with children in their centres who have emotional
or behavioural Problems.

The program is based on the cognitive therapy model which includes stress
management, communication skills, self-esteem development, and some insight-oriented
groups. Evening programming includes a family and friends night, a psycho-therapy

Offers people with schizophrenia and related disorders a setting in which
to improve deficits and develop new capacities to better succeed with
meaningful activities and relationships. The program utilizes a variety
of assessment and treatment modalities including psychoeducational, pharmacological,
vocational and a broad based life skills acquisition component (i.e.
problem solving, stress management, leisure planning, goal setting).
Therapy is offered in individual, group and family modalities. Also provides
comprehensive outpatient service to patients who attend Monday through
Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Potential clients must display: the
beginnings of motivation to improve aspects of their lives; insight into
their illness; and a willingness to attend for a minimum of three months.
Referrals are accepted from physicians, mental health teams and social
service agencies.

structure and counselling for adults ages 18 and older who have a mental
illness and/or excessive stress, emotional problems or painful transitions

and part-time basis (average duration is 12 weeks). Also provides a weekly
Post-Partum Depression group and Tuesday Club, a social skills development
